I have had various apostolates.  For ten years I worked in ECYD in Rhode Island, Mexico City, Michigan and Atlanta.  For two years I was on the territorial directive team.  I was also on the general directive team for two years.  As a member, I focused on the area of apostolate while helping a little in other areas.  For the past five years I have been the director and assistant director of the Everest School in Manila.  Now I am in the locality and working with women.  I am grateful for all of these experiences that have allowed me to see God’s action through the charism we have received. In relation to our belonging to the Regnum Christi family, I am particularly grateful for the time that I worked in territorial direction in North America.  It was during the period in which Fr. Luis Garza was the territorial director.  In those years, the territorial team began to develop in order to support the territorial director so as to govern in a more systematic way and to execute together the vision of the Movement in those circumstances.  Here in Manila the teamwork between branches is extremely rich.  The school has both boys and girls as students, so there are many activities of the sections that are offered for families, for boys and girls, etc.

I hope that in this assembly we will seek together to hear the voice of God and have the courage and trust to follow it knowing that God sometimes prefers not to reveal everything, but that we have to follow Him step by step. I think it is important that we all unite in prayer not only for the consecrated women but for all of Regnum Christi and for the Church, so that we can express in the best way, yet knowing that it cannot be fully expressed in words, the richness of the charism that we have received for the benefit of the Church.

Soy de Monterrey Mexico, nací el 12 de abril de 1978 . En mi familia somos cinco, además de mis papás, tengo un hermano mayor que tiene dos hijos y una hermana menor que tiene dos hijos. Entré al ECYD en primera etapa, y me consagré en agosto de 1997. Actualmente estoy en la comunidad de Manila en donde soy directora de la comunidad, de la sección de señoras y de la localidad. La experiencia de la fundación del Regnum Christi en Asia es apasionante, tenemos un trabajo en equipo y espíritu de comunión precioso entre los miembros seglares, los Legionarios y las consagradas y en estos años hemos recibido la bendición de ver el desarrollo de nuestro colegio, de Juventud y Familia Misionera, de las secciones del Reino y de muchos de nuestros apostolados.

He tenido apostolados variados. Durante 10 años trabajé en el ECYD, en Rhode Island, en la Ciudad de México, Michigan, y Atlanta. He estado dos años el equipo de la dirección territorial y dos años en el de la dirección general especialmente enfocada en el área de apostolado y ayudando un poco en otras áreas. Fui directora y subdirectora del colegio Everest en Manila en los últimos cinco años y ahora estoy en la localidad y con las señoras. Estoy agradecida por todas estas experiencias que me han permitido ver la acción de Dios a través del carisma que hemos recibido. En relación a nuestra pertenencia a la familia del Regnum Christi, estoy particularmente agradecida por el tiempo en el que estuve trabajando en la dirección territorial de Norteamérica en el periodo en el que el P. Luis Garza fue el director territorial. En esos años me tocó estar cuando se comenzó a formar el equipo territorial para apoyar al director territorial en el gobierno de una manera más sistemática y para ejecutar juntos la visión del Movimiento en esas circunstancias. Aquí en Manila la colaboración entre ramas es sumamente rica, pues el colegio es mixto, hay muchas actividades de las secciones que se ofrecen para las familias, para chicos y chicas, etc.

Lo que espero de esta asamblea es que juntas busquemos escuchar la voz de Dios y que tengamos la valentía y confianza para seguirla sabiendo que Dios a veces prefiere no revelar todo pero que nos toca seguirlo paso a paso. Creo que es importante que todas nos unamos en oración no solo por las consagradas sino por todo el Regnum Christi y por la Iglesia, para que podamos plasmar de la mejor manera, aunque siempre sabiendo que no se puede contener en palabras, la riqueza del carisma que hemos recibido para beneficio de la Iglesia.

I was an assistant in the pre-candidacy in Mexico, and afterwards I worked for many years in ECYD in western Mexico City and Chile.  My last year in Chile, I was also the director of the youth section.  For the last five years I have been in Paris as the director of the community and studying spiritual theology at a Jesuit college.  Besides being the director of the community, I am also a territorial councilor.  I coordinate the catechesis in our parish, and I support the activities for adolescents and youth and have begun to accompany those who participate in retreats according to the methodology of St. Ignatius.

When I was in Chile, I had a very strong experience of communion among all the branches of the Movement. In 2008, a group of students from the Cumbres School were involved in a bus accident in which nine of them died.  They were between 15 and 16 years old.  Many of the girls had been in NET and in ECYD.  Several of their moms were very supportive of ECYD and active in the school.  After the accident, a very beautiful community was created among the consecrated women, the chaplains of the school and the families.  This made it possible to live the situation as a family and from a perspective of faith.

I would like us to live these assemblies in a climate of profound discernment and with an attitude of listening to the Holy Spirit who manifests Himself where he wants and how He wants.  We need to let him be the one who shows us the steps to be taken.  I would ask that we open ourselves to the action of the Spirit.  May we live listening to God interiorly and in our sisters, in order to seek together what God wants from us in this historical moment.

I was consecrated on October 1, 1983.  I am currently in the community of Lomas Anáhuac in Mexico City.  It is a big community but very integrated and welcoming.

My apostolic experience has been the following: I started as a prefect of discipline in the Oxford School (high school), then in the Godwin School (high school). I was section director in Guadalajara, Mexico.  In Valencia, Spain I had several apostolates: vice director and director of the community, prefect of discipline in the Cumbres School, director of the Cumbres School, section director, and director of ECYD.  I returned to Mexico as director of the Maddox Academy, vice director and then director of the community of Satélite. During these past years my mission has been to serve the consecrated women as territorial director of Mexico.

A moment that has helped me to experience Regnum Christi as one family with the same charism was when we gathered together members of the four branches in order to express what had led us to become members of the Movement and/or to consecrate ourselves to God.  What was heard in those moments was not something learned, it was something that God himself had sown in each person, and it resonated in the hearts of others.  It showed that the Holy Spirit placed the charism in the heart of each person and therefore everyone, without exception, has something to contribute to the Movement.

My expectation for the Assembly is that we purify our hearts to be able to listen to the Holy Spirit and to be able to live an experience of communion, of interior freedom and of a sincere and humble search where we can find the will of God among all of us.  I hope we all go as prepared as possible, without clinging, but detached and open to what each one is going to contribute.

The prayer that I would ask for is the same as my expectation and hope for the Assembly.

I am currently a member of the community of Las Encinas in Monterrey, Mexico.  This house has two communities:  the community of apostolate and the community of candidates.  The candidates represent a grace of God, and at the same time, a responsibility.  The celebration of the Eucharist, as well as some other spontaneous moments in the day are our opportunities to be with the candidates.

I have worked apostolically as a vocational promoter and formator of the girls in the pre-candidacy in Spain, Mexico and Brazil.  I have also been able to help in sections of ECYD and in youth sections of Regnum Christi.  I have been a vice director and director of consecrated women.  Much of my apostolic work has been in Brazil.  I am currently serving as the territorial director in Monterrey, Mexico.  I believe collaborating in the territorial directive committee has offered me many opportunities to experience Regnum Christi as a charismatic family.  It is difficult for me to speak of a single moment.  It is common to experience the complementarity and the presence of Christ among us, as well as to share and to vibrate with the desire to extend the Kingdom of Christ.  This constitutes an experience of the charism.

More than to talk about expectations for this assembly, I can talk about dispositions.  I want to help in the dialogue, listening to the Holy Spirit in the others and in me.  To pray, to welcome and to respond to what God will show us, so that He manifests Himself as He has done in the territorial assemblies in which I have participated.

I ask for prayers so that we can be a discerning community.

I am in a grand community of apostolate in Madrid, Spain (Cerro del Coto).  It is “grand” because there are 21 of us, because the average age is between 40 and 45 years, and because they are grand consecrated women that love and give witness to a great love for their consecration.

I have always had apostolates in Europe: in ECYD, sections, missions, schools, academies, the formation center and university.  In the last five years, I have also in an informal way, been collaborating in spreading and deepening our charism among the consecrated women.  I have done so through multiple modalities and in an “official” way, in the renewal courses of the past three years.

The experience of helping in the central commission of our statutes in 2012-2013 was a turning point in my life in Regnum Christi.  It began a journey of renewal and rediscovery of our charism that has accompanied and prepared me during these years and until now.  I particularly have a renewed Christ centeredness through the contemplation of the heart of Christ the King and the redeeming and victorious force of his love.  I have a renewed call to collaborate in the establishment of his Kingdom in the hearts of this secularized world.  This path has planted in me a deep hope in our path and a renewed love for this work of God. I believe that we have a very great charism that continues to unfold and acquire new nuances that never cease to amaze me.  The strength of our renewed ecclesiality particularly draws my attention, as well as the communal dimension with everything that it can mean.

In the assembly, I want to continue letting myself be surprised.  I have an enormous trust and hope in the action of the Holy Spirit, and that is why I want to listen a lot to God and to others.  I ask God and I ask for prayers for this, so that there is a lot of listening, a lot of personal detachment and searching together.  I ask for prayers for this harmony.  This is how our territorial assembly of consecrated women was: a joy and a harmony in the differences and therefore a lot of richness.

I was consecrated on August 22, 2001.  My apostolic experience includes the following.  I was an assistant in the formation center in Madrid, Spain.  I have been a member of the general secretariat team and the territorial secretariat team.  I have been the director of the ECYD section as well as an assistant for ECYD in Seville, Spain.  I currently belong to the community of Mirasierra in Madrid, Spain where I am studying a doctorate and am also a member of the auxiliary team for young women.  I am also a professor at the University Francisco de Vitoria.

The current work in the sections of young people in Madrid, without excluding difficulties, is a constant search to live communion, to give life to the charism, to find more and better ways of reaching young people.

I ask for prayers for us to listen to God who reveals himself as, when and where he wants, beyond our schemes or expectations.

I was consecrated on September 29, 2001, and I currently am a member of the community in São Paulo, Brazil.  It is a community that has formed and grown over the almost three years that I have been in Brazil.  When I arrived there were three of us, and now we are eight consecrated women.  My community is the place where I find myself the most: in encounters with each one I discover myself more and more, and at the same time, it is the place where I can give myself the most, where I can listen and accompany.  I would say that we walk together, trying to offer what each one is and trying to receive the gift that the others are for the community.

In my apostolic experience, I was first in the formation center in Madrid, Spain for five years.  The first two years I was in formation.  The next two years I was an assistant.   The last year I was vice director.  Afterwards, I was a member of the community of Mirasierra.  I lived there three years.   I was the vice director of the community and worked apostolically as the assistant director in the Highlands School (Encinar).  I then went to my hometown.  I was there six years.  I worked in the youth section, where I wanted to support the pastoral work with youth of the diocese (it was a very beautiful experience of the Church).  I also worked in the Saint Isabel School as an instructor of formation for high school girls.  I was the director of the community for the last three years in Barcelona.  The last year I was named a territorial councilor.  For almost three years I have been in Brazil, where I am the territorial director and director of the community of São Paulo.

I have had many experiences that, thanks be to God, have enriched me, but perhaps the one I remember with more fondness and clarity is the apostolate convention that we had last year in Brazil.  All of the branches of Regnum Christ were present. It fills my heart to share with consecrated men, lay members and Legionaries what God has put in our hearts and to seek together how to evangelize this territory. It is beautiful to pray together, to discuss, to reach a consensus.   It is even beautiful to come to perceive a conflict between us and together talk about it and find solutions that were not made beforehand.

My expectation for this assembly is to be able to meet every consecrated woman who is going to have this experience with me.  I would ask all the consecrated women to sit down and be one with us, because what we are going to deal with belongs to everyone. Therefore, pray that the Holy Spirit gives us the gift of tongues to understand each other and the gift of communion.

I was consecrated on March 10, 1978.  My apostolic experience has included the following.  I was director of ECYD in Mexico City.  In Chile I was director of the   community of consecrated women, director of the youth section and director of the Cumbres School.  I was assistant to the general director.  I have been assistant to the territorial director of Europe, Spain and Italy.  I am currently the director of the Regnum Christi section of young people in the University of Francisco de Vitoria in Madrid, Spain and academic coordinator of the master’s program in educative accompaniment and mentoring in the University of Francisco de Vitoria.

The experience of foundation is something very special. I remember my first image just getting off of the plane in Santiago, Chile. The first four consecrated to arrive to that country were received by a Legionary priest who took us to our first house already furnished and with a full pantry. I would summarize those seven years as vertigo and amazement.  Vertigo because of the growth of the number of students in that little school that started with 40 students.  It was incomprehensible and disproportionate that there were more than 1000 students in less than 7 years. And amazement for the quality of experience and integration with the Regnum Christi charism among young people and adults.

I hope that in this assembly we continue letting ourselves be led by God’s pedagogy, in depth and form.  For this reason, I ask you to pray that EVERYONE, beginning with me, will let this process be not simply to look for a canonical and juridical result that we need, but to let ourselves be made from the bottom of our hearts.  It seems to me that this is the way that Christ will reign and we will fully live our charism.

Currently, I am serving in Regnum Christi as the territorial director of Chile, which includes Chile and Argentina.  There are three communities of consecrated women in the territory.  Thanks be to God; I am able to be with these consecrated women a lot.  I belong to the community of Domus Mariae San Carlos of Apoquindo in Santiago, Chile.  It is a numerous community with a lot of internationality and a great human as well as spiritual richness.  I experience profound human and spiritual ties with the consecrated women in my community.  I also have these ties with the consecrated women in the other communities in the territory.

I began my years of consecrated life with three years of formation in Rome.  Afterwards, I was in Mexico for 17 years: eight years in ECYD in Monterrey, two and a half years in Guadalajara as director of the section of young women and as director of the community of consecrated women, and seven years in Mexico City as director of the Bosque School and director of the community of consecrated women.  Afterwards, I was in Madrid for seven years as director of the Highlands School (Encinar).  Since December of 2012, I have had my current mission as the territorial director of Chile and Argentina.

Regnum Christi did not exist in my hometown.  My first contact was through some Legionary of Christ priests who were part of a vocational road team.  They ended up becoming a part of my family.  They helped me to know about Regnum Christi, to become a member, and then to begin ECYD in my hometown.  From the beginning of my vocation in Regnum Christi, and afterwards throughout my years as a consecrated woman, I have always felt part of a family.  I have been able to live, enjoy and experience the importance and the complementarity of each of the vocations that are within the Movement.  The last of the vocations that I discovered and have been able to have more contact with, has been the lay consecrated men.  They are an immense blessing!

I am going to the Assembly with a lot of trust, because I see clearly that God’s Providence has guided us and that He keeps guiding us.  I trust enormously in the Church as the mediation that allows us to live God’s plan for our lives.  With the opportunity to ask for prayers from all of the consecrated women, I ask that they pray that God purifies the hearts of all of us that will participate in the Assembly so that we can have an attitude of profound and active listening so that Christ reigns in the Assembly, and that through the action of the Holy Spirit He will show us the next step that we have to take.  And so we can take that step with great responsibility and with enormous peace.
