Mi experiencia apostólica ha sido sobre todo en el campo educativo y me ha encantado poder compartir la misión con tantas personas dedicadas y comprometidas además de sentirme en familia viviendo esta misión con otras consagradas, sacerdotes, colaboradoras y seglares. Hace poco en Woodlands para el día de la vida consagrada una niña me preguntó qué era lo que más me gustaba de ser consagrada y le contesté que sentía que Dios me pedía abrir mi corazón para que hubiera espacio para muchas personas pero Él también me regalaba el cariño de muchas personas. En los colegios así ha sido, la oportunidad de estar presente en la vida de muchas personas ayudando a formar a los alumnos, mientras una busca ser señal del amor de Dios hacia todos.

Espero que la asamblea sea un momento de profundizar en el don que hemos recibido sabiendo que las palabras siempre serán limitadas para expresar el todo pero más allá de esto es el espíritu, y eso se transmite con la vida. Pido oraciones para que seamos capaces de vivir lo que Dios quiere para nosotras.

I am Jacinta Curran.  I was born in Dublin, Ireland on April 4, 1960.  I became a member of ECYD in 1975 and later of Regnum Christi in 1977.  I have a brother who is ten years younger than me and a sister who is 15 years younger than me.  I left my house to begin formation when they were 11 and six years old.  I was consecrated on July 21, 1979 and began my formation in 1981 after finishing my studies in psychology.  After a few months in Dublin, I moved to Rome.  After two years of formation, I began the adventure of the apostolate.  Despite my almost 40 years as a consecrated woman, I have not had many changes of apostolate.  I feel that this stability has made me much of the person that I am today.  First, I founded in the United States where we inaugurated Overbrook Academy in 1984.  Almost six years later, I went to Rome to study in the John Paul II Institute.  I was there for only a year.  I then went to Mexico City to the Irish Institute.  I have very good memories from the eight years in that city.  Then God invited me to continue the adventure in Vienna, Austria for five years.  During this time, I was able to learn a lot about the realities of the places that today make up a large part of the territory of Europe as well as learn something of the German language. From Vienna I went to the Highlands School in Seville, Spain where I spent ten years.  I was delighted to be with the people of Seville as well as with the consecrated women who were also in Seville.   I left Seville for Madrid as a territorial councilor, but God had other plans for me after just a few months. I am currently the territorial director of central and western Europe.  It includes five countries, so my usual companion is a suitcase!  In September, I began to live with the community of the Woodlands Academy in Ireland.  I am very grateful for the welcome that the community has given me, making me feel very «at home» when I am in the house.  I have had the opportunity to live in my country again, which is a cultural experience for me and an excellent opportunity to be closer to my family.

My apostolic experience has been especially in the field of education.   I have loved sharing the mission with so many dedicated and committed people.  I have felt that I belong to a family, living this mission with other consecrated women, priests, Regnum Christi missionaries and lay people. Recently in Woodlands for the day of consecrated life a girl asked me what I liked the most about being consecrated, and I answered that I felt that God was asking me to open my heart so there would be space for many people but He also gave me the gift of receiving the affection of many people.  This is how it has been in our schools.  There has been the opportunity to be present in the lives of many people helping in the students’ formation, while at the same time, seeking to be a sign of God’s love for all.

I hope that the assembly will be a time to deepen in the gift we have received knowing that words will always be limited to express everything.  We need to remember that beyond the words is the spirit, and that is transmitted with life. I ask for prayers so that we are able to live what God wants for us.

Mi primer destino apostólico fue como Asistente del administrador territorial para sud américa por un año al salir del centro de formación y después asistente del administrador territorial para México y Monterrey por seis años. Fui directora del Highlands Barcelona por seis años, Directora del Cumbres de Valencia por dos años y ahora llevo cinco años y medio apoyando en la administración en Roma, cuatro de los cuales como ecónoma general.

Casi toda mi vida he tenido la oportunidad de trabajar directamente con los padres Legionarios y consagrados, además de las consagradas obviamente. Me cuesta concebir el Regnum Christi si no es como una gran familia en donde cada uno tiene su papel y complementa al otro. Mi experiencia apostólica podría decir que es lo que he vivido en mis años en el apostolado, trabajando en conjunto y apoyándonos continuamente en nuestras caídas y levantadas. Me ha ayudado mucho trabajar con los niños, jóvenes, las familias, pero también aprendo y disfruto el trabajo interno.

La expectactiva que tengo para esta Asamblea es que Dios pueda actuar libremente a través de nosotras, y a todas quisiera pedirles oraciones por un Regnum Christi renovado y fortalecido en el amor real y apasionado a Cristo.

I am from Maracaibo, Venezuela.  I am the youngest of seven children: five sons and two daughters.  I was born on September 15, 1972 and was consecrated on December 4, 1994.  I currently live in the community of the general direction in Rome.  I am very grateful to my community, because even though I have to spend long periods of time travelling, they always make me feel welcomed and at home.

In my first apostolate after formation I was the assistant to the territorial administrator in South America.  After one year, I became the assistant to the territorial administrator in Mexico City and Monterrey.  I had that apostolate for six years.  Then I was the director of the Highlands School in Barcelona, Spain for six years.  Next, I was director of the Cumbres School in Valencia, Spain for two years.  I have been working in administration in Rome for five and a half years.  For four of those years, I have been the general administrator of the consecrated women.

Almost all of my life I have had the opportunity to work directly with the Legionaries and consecrated men, in addition to the consecrated women.  It is difficult for me to envision Regnum Christi without seeing it like a big family where each one has his/her role which is complementary to the others. This is what I have experienced in my years in the apostolate, working together and continually supporting each other in our successes and falls.  It has helped me a lot to work with children, young people, and families, but I also learn from and enjoy the internal apostolate.

The expectation that I have for this Assembly is that God can freely act through us.  I would like to ask all of you for prayers for a Regnum Christi renewed and strengthened in a real and passionate love for Christ.

Me consagré el 15 de agosto de 1991 y actualmente pertenezco a la comunidad de apostolado de Cerro del Coto.

He pasado por muy diversos apostolados, todos ellos han dejado una huella muy positiva en mi vida y un aprendizaje: Secretaria general, instructora de formación en el CECVAC de Monterrey administradora de colegio, giras en el sur de Italia, Secretaria territorial y también he podido servir a mis hermanas como directora de comunidad y actualmente como directora territorial en España.

Mi experiencia en las giras en el sur de Italia me enriquecieron mucho como persona y también enriquecieron mi experiencia como familia Regnum Christi. Al tratarse de una fundación te toca hacer de todo (ECYD, jóvenes, señoras…), pero eso no fue lo más importante… ahí pude constatar que un carisma existe de verdad, y que es un don del Espíritu Santo, no depende tanto de las personas sino que El lo da y lo transmite… Las personas de ahí, conocían el Regnum Christi  por lo que las dos personas que íbamos de giras mensualmente les transmitíamos, y sin embargo parecía que habían nacido en el Regnum Christi … su modo de pensar, de enfocar, de querer contagiar el amor de Cristo con el que se habían encontrado estaba todo impregnado totalmente de Regnum Christi. Me sorprendía ver cómo era algo que se contagiaba… y no era una labor humana, sino una acción divina….

Sin querer rebajar en nada la importancia de la definición de nuestra configuración jurídica, estoy convencida de que lo que estamos haciendo va mucho más allá… velar, custodiar y promover un carisma, nuestro carisma. Un sacerdote me recomendó “gozar el momento que están viviendo”, ¡¿Gozar?!… después de repetirme mucho esta frase, me di cuenta que tenía razón, este momento es un momento histórico, nos toca a nosotras vivirlo, nos toca a nosotras como cofundadoras dar estos pasos, poner las bases de este camino que hay que recorrer… después vendrán otras generaciones que podrán caminar por ese camino sembrado con nuestro esfuerzo, nuestras luchas, y sobre todo con nuestra oración y nuestro gran amor a Dios y al Movimiento.

Les pido sus oraciones para que nos dejemos tocar e iluminar por el Espíritu Santo, que busquemos el bien del todo por encima del propio

I was born on February 5, 1971 in Mexico City.  There are seven children in my family, and I am the only girl.  I went to the Oxford School.  From heaven, my father accompanies us and intercedes for this assembly.

I was consecrated on August 15, 1991.  I currently am a member of the community of Cerro del Coto in Madrid, Spain.

I have had many different apostolates.  All of them have left a very positive impression on my life and have taught me something. I have worked in the  general secretariat.  I was an instructor of formation in the CECVAC School in Monterrey as well as administrator of the school.  I was part of a road team in  southern Italy.  I have worked in the territorial secretariat, and I have also been able to serve my sisters as director of the community and now as territorial director of Spain.

My experience on the road team in southern Italy enriched me a lot as a person and also enriched my experience as a member of the Regnum Christi family. When you are in foundation you have to do everything (ECYD, young people, women, etc.), but that was not the most important thing.  I could verify that a charism really exists, and that it is a gift of the Holy Spirit.  It does not depend so much on people but on the Holy Spirit who gives it and transmits it.  The people knew about Regnum Christi because of what the two consecrated women visiting each month transmitted to them, and yet it seemed that they were born into Regnum Christi.  Their way of thinking, of focusing, of wanting to spread the love of Christ that they had encountered.  They were completely impregnated with Regnum Christi. I was surprised to see how it was something that was contagious, and it was not a human work, but a divine action.

Without wanting to reduce in any way the importance of the definition of our juridical configuration, I am convinced that what we are doing goes much further.  It is to look after, guard and promote a charism, our charism. A priest recommended to me to “enjoy the moment you are living», to enjoy?!  After repeating this phrase many times, I realized that he was right.  This moment is an historical moment; it is our turn to live it.  We have to take these steps as co-founders, to lay the foundations for this path that must be followed.  Other generations will come who will be able to walk down this path that was forged with our effort, our struggles, and above all with our prayer and our great love for God and for the Movement.

I ask for your prayers so that we let ourselves be touched and enlightened by the Holy Spirit, and that we seek the good of the whole above our own good.

Conocí el Regnum Christi a través de una gira de consagradas y fui miembro de la sección del Reino en León, Gto. Fui colaboradora en la Ciudad de México, trabajando en el ECYD.  Al inicio de mi vida consagrada hice los tres primeros años de formación en el centro de formación de Madrid y el último en Monterrey.

En el campo apostólico he hecho un poco de todo. Los primeros años estuve en la gira apostólica en Torreón y Chihuahua, después estuve como instructora de formación y directora de formación en el Instituto Rosedal México. Me tocó dirigir la sección del Regnum Christi de señoritas en Querétaro. Durante los cuatro años que estuve en Puebla, tuve la oportunidad de trabajar en varios apostolados: Directora de la comunidad de consagradas, Directora del Colegio del Bosque, Asistente para el ECYD, Directora de sección de señoritas. Actualmente soy la directora de la comunidad de Satélite.  Ha sido una comunidad de la cual he aprendido y me he enriquecido mucho por su espíritu de acogida, de sencillez y de apoyo incondicional.

Estos últimos tres años he sido miembro del consejo territorial y he tenido la oportunidad de trabajar y convivir muy de cerca con miembros de las otras ramas. Así como he podido experimentar la dificultad y los retos, también he podido confirmar que todos queremos seguir unidos por un mismo carisma y una misma misión a pesar de todo lo que pueda implicar.

¿Expectativas para esta Asamblea? Prestarme como instrumento con una actitud de escucha a Dios y a las demás y de una profunda confianza en que Dios lleva esta Obra y en que Él nos seguirá mostrando el camino.

Les pido oraciones para que podamos vivir esta Asamblea en un clima de profunda humildad, apertura y docilidad a lo que Dios quiere de nosotras.

I am from Lagos de Moreno, Jalisco, Mexico.  I am the third of four children.  I was born on March 7, 1978 and was consecrated on August 22, 1998.

I first knew about Regnum Christi through a road team of consecrated women.  I was a member of the Regnum Christi section in Leon, Mexico.  I was a Regnum Christi missionary in Mexico City where I worked in ECYD.  At the beginning of my consecrated life, I was in the formation center in Madrid, Spain for three years.  My last year of formation was in the center in Monterrey.

In the apostolate, I have done a bit of everything. During my first years I was on the road team in Torreón and Chihuahua in Mexico.  Later, I was a formation instructor and director of formation at the Rosedal Institute in Mexico. I was director of the Regnum Christi section of young women in Querétaro. During the four years I was in Puebla, I had the opportunity to work in various apostolates: director of the community of consecrated women, director of the Bosque School, assistant for ECYD, and director of the young women’s section.  I am currently the director of the community of consecrated women in Satélite, Mexico.  I have learned from the community, and I have been enriched by its welcoming spirit, simplicity and unconditional support.

For the last three years I have been a territorial councilor.  I have had the opportunity to work and live very closely with members of the other branches of Regnum Christi.  I have been able to experience the difficulties and the challenges.  I have also been able to confirm that we all want to continue united by the same charism and the same mission, despite everything that may imply.

What are my expectations for this Assembly?  I hope to lend myself as an instrument with an attitude of listening to God and to others and with a deep trust that God is leading this work, and that He will continue to show us the way.

I ask for prayers so that we can live this Assembly in a climate of profound humility, openness and docility to what God wants of us.

A lo largo de mi vida consagrada he estado implicada en la formación de consagradas en centros de formación (Centro estudiantil USA y Valencia; Centro de Formación en Monterrey y Greenville). También en el ámbito pastoral, principalmente apoyando en la dirección de colegios y formación dentro de la estructura de los mismos (Sevilla, Valencia y actualmente Buenos Aires). Antes de llegar a Buenos Aires, estuve tres años sirviendo en el gobierno territorial de España. Actualmente estoy en Buenos Aires como directora de la comunidad y en la pastoral de adultos, apoyando en la sección de señoras, escuela de la fe, y con la formación de padres en el colegio Oak Hill.

Ha sido un regalo enorme estar en el territorio de Chile los últimos años, tener la posibilidad de estar más cerca de mi familia, volver a tomar un contacto un poco más cercano con mi cultura y con el desarrollo del Regnum Christi en este territorio. Ya desde los 13 años me incorporé al ECYD, y con 19 me consagré, por lo que volver a las raíces, la cuna de mi vocación, ha sido un don.

Buenos Aires, estando tan cerca de Chile, es una realidad del Movimiento muy diversa. Hay una riqueza enorme en su gente, en su experiencia del Regnum Christi, en el modo en que el carisma se ve plasmado. Somos ocho consagradas y ocho sacerdotes. Aquí todo inició por la asignación de la Parroquia de Santa María de Betania hace cerca de 25 años. La cuna del Regnum Christi en Buenos Aires, fue una experiencia del carisma desde una Parroquia. Legionarios al servicio de la Iglesia formando apóstoles que ha vibrado desde el inicio con la llamada interior a este carisma. Aquí, en la Parroquia de Betania, se puede ver muy bien reflejado cómo el carisma es riqueza para la Iglesia diocesana, cómo bajo la estructura de una parroquia, la experiencia espiritual y apostólica se irradia de una forma novedosa, pone en “movimiento” a Jóvenes, adultos, niños, catequistas… que si bien no todos son miembros del Regnum Christi, irradian particularmente el llamado a ser apóstoles. Poco tiempo después llegamos las consagradas y se fundaron los colegios Oak Hill en los que las consagradas, conjuntamente con los legionarios llevamos el ámbito de formación y de pastoral. Jóvenes, niños, adolescentes, etc. participan en los clubes del ECYD, en Juventud misionera y poco a poco se están formando equipos de perseverancia en torno a la palabra de Dios con el encuentro con Cristo. Tierra fértil y de mucho trabajo ciertamente.

De esta asamblea y de las que siguen espero que sea un verdadero Cenáculo, lugar de búsqueda conjunta (de las consagradas y de todos los representantes de las demás ramas) en la que dóciles a la acción del Espíritu secundemos SU ACCIÓN. Que estemos todos en actitud que nos permita acoger y rendirnos a su designio amoroso. Conscientes de que Él es el que nos ha llamado, nos ha participado de este don para la extensión de SU REINO.  Por lo mismo, espero que vayamos libres de esquemas, de temores… y por el contrario, GOZOSOS Y CIERTOS del don que llevamos en vasijas de barro. Hemos ido caminando todos estos años al ritmo y según la guía maternal de la Iglesia, seguir por ahí, es camino seguro.

Pido oraciones para que haya docilidad al Espíritu, y para que entre nosotros no falte la presencia maternal de María que sostiene en la comunión y se presta a la obra de Dios.

I was born on January 31, 1977.  I am the oldest of four children.  I am from Santiago, Chile.  I was consecrated on the day of the Annunciation, March 25, 1995.

Throughout my consecrated life I have been involved in the formation of consecrated women in formation centers (in the United States and Monterrey, Mexico) and pre-candidates (in the United States and Valencia, Spain).  I have also worked in the pastoral field, mainly in the direction of schools and the formation that they offer (in Seville and Valencia, Spain and now in Buenos Aires, Argentina).  Before arriving to Buenos Aires, I spent three years serving in the territorial government in Spain.  I am currently in Buenos Aires as the director of the community.  I am also involved in pastoral work with adults: helping in the Regnum Christi women’s section, in the school of faith, and with the formation of parents at the Oak Hill School.

It has been a huge gift for me to be in the territory of Chile in these past years, as I have had the possibility of being closer to my family, and to have a closer contact with my culture and with the development of Regnum Christi in this territory.  At the age of 13 I joined ECYD, and I was consecrated when I was   19 years old.  So, it has been a gift to be able to return to the roots, the beginning of my vocation.

Even though Buenos Aires is very close to Chile, the reality of the Movement is different.  There is a great richness in its people, in their experience of Regnum Christi, in the way in which the charism is embodied.  There are eight consecrated women and eight Legionary priests in Buenos Aires.  Everything began here with the assignment of the Parish of Saint Mary of Bethany about 25 years ago.  The beginning of Regnum Christi in Buenos Aires was an experience of the charism within a parish.  Legionaries at the service of the Church, forming apostles that from the beginning resonated with the interior call to this charism.  Here in the Parish of Bethany, you can see very well how the charism is an enrichment for the diocesan Church.  Within the structure of a parish, the spiritual and apostolic experience radiates in a new way, it puts in «movement» young people, adults, children, catechists.  Even though not all of them are members of Regnum Christi, they radiate in a special way the call to be apostles.  Shortly after the consecrated women arrived to Buenos Aires, we founded the Oak Hill schools were consecrated women, together with the Legionaries, are responsible for the pastoral work and formation within the schools.  Young people, children, adolescents, etc. participate in ECYD clubs and in youth missions.  Little by little, perseverance teams have formed around the word of God participating in Encounters with Christ.  It is fertile land, and there is a lot of work.

I hope that this assembly and those that follow, will be a true Cenacle, a place of searching together (the consecrated women and all the representatives of the other branches), in which we are docile to the action of the Spirit.  We will support his ACTION.  May we all have an attitude that allows us to welcome and surrender to his loving design.  May we be aware that He is the one who has called us, making us participants of this gift for the extension of HIS KINGDOM.  For the same reason, I hope that we go free from schemes, without fears.  I hope that we go JOYFUL AND CERTAIN of the gift that we carry in earthen vessels.  We have been walking all these years to the rhythm and according to the motherly guidance of the Church, continuing in this way is a sure path.

I ask for prayers so that there is docility to the Spirit, and so that among us there is no absence of Mary’s maternal presence.  She sustains us in communion and enables us to lend ourselves to God’s work.
